Microneedling in Brentwood, TN

Do you live in Brentwood, Franklin, Nashville, or the surrounding regions in Tennessee, and are considering microneedling treatment to rejuvenate your skin and get rid of scars, fine lines, and wrinkles? Here at Cool Springs MD, we have a number of different microneedling procedures available to help you improve your skin.

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a treatment method that breaks down old damaged skin and improves skin quality by using a needling device. A pen-like attachment causes minimal damage to the uppermost layers of the skin, and this stimulates the body’s natural healing process. The body begins to produce collagen and elastin, which makes up new tissue. Microneedling also helps the body create new blood vessels, which provide your newly formed skin with blood and nutrients to keep it radiant and vibrant.

How Much Does Microneedling Cost?

Every patient’s individual needs are different, and microneedling costs will therefore vary based on your individual goals. Please feel free to reach out to us at Cool Springs MD to discuss pricing. We can provide you with more in-depth information about the procedure and answer any questions you might have.

Am I a Candidate for Microneedling?

Microneedling can be safely performed on adult men and women with any skin types or colors. It does not result in any negative changes of your skin, such as hyper-pigmentation. Microneedling can be performed on most areas of the body.

How is Microneedling Performed?

Microneedling uses a small needle device that penetrates the uppermost layers of your skin. To prevent discomfort, a numbing cream is first applied to the treatment areas. Once your skin is numb, the device then creates small wounds that are typically 2mm or less in depth. This artificial damage stimulates your body’s healing process, resulting in the production of new collagen and elastin fibers — two proteins that play important roles in skin health. Your skin will have greater volume with the reduction of lines, wrinkles, and scars.

What is Recovery Like After Microneedling?

After receiving microneedling treatment, your skin might be slightly red, and you may also experience swelling. This resembles a mild sunburn, and these symptoms can last for a few days. You will notice better skin after a few weeks. We can provide you with different serums or products to help speed recovery. After receiving treatment, we recommend minimizing the use of makeup. If you require multiple treatments, you should receive sessions every four to six weeks.

How Long Will My Microneedling Results Last?

Microneedling results will start to be noticeable within a few weeks after receiving your first treatment. Long-term results will generally be seen after a few months. Individual response and results after the procedure can vary. We recommend the use of a zinc-based sunblock and other skin products to help protect your skin from future damage to maintain results.
