MiXto Laser Results
The MiXto is the gold standard of laser resurfacing. You’ll see more results after one MiXto treatment than competing devices are capable of delivering in two-to-three treatments. Patients can also expect less discomfort and faster recovery times. Compared to traditional CO2 lasers, it cuts the hard downtime in half! In a patient with severe damage or acne scarring, rather than skin with scabbing, crusting and oozing that requires 14 days to heal, we can treat the skin in such a way to need about 7 days of downtime.
Fractional CO2 Laser Resurfacing with MiXto
The MiXto removes 30-millionths of an inch of tissue at a time. It directs rays of energy into the dermis layer without injuring the epidermis. Unlike a heavy chemical peel or dermabrasion, there are non-ablated areas of skin left between the laser target sites promoting more rapid overall healing. The laser introduces a small amount of heat into the dermis so that it remodels and stimulates the fibroblast cells to produce more collagen and tighten the fibrils. Then, over a few days the top layer of skin will peel off like a bad sunburn which will leave a beautiful new smooth clean skin without brown spots or wrinkles. The results continue to evolve over the next 3 to 6 months. This fractional CO2 laser resurfacing device also gives a uniform, consistent result over chemical peels and dermabrasion procedures.
